This Privacy Policy explains how The Untamed Forever App (the “App”, “we”, “us”, or “our”), an online learning application that offers video courses and related educational content, collects, uses, shares, and protects your information when you use the App and its related services. By creating an account or using the App, you agree to the practices described in this Policy.

This App is available on Google Play. We handle your personal data in line with Google Play’s User Data policy and applicable Indian law, including the Information Technology Act, 2000 and the Digital Personal Data Protection Act, 2023 (DPDP Act).

1. Information We Collect

We only collect data that is needed to provide and improve the App. The categories are:

a. Information you provide directly

Email address	Account creation, login, password reset, and transactional/service messages.
Phone number (optional)	Alternative login identifier and account recovery, where provided.
Password	To secure your account. Passwords are stored only as a salted `bcrypt` hash — never in plain text.
Profile photo (optional)	Only if you choose to set an avatar from your device’s photos.
Ratings & reviews	Star ratings and optional written reviews you submit for courses.

b. Information created as you use the App

Data	Why we collect it
Course enrolments & purchases	To grant and maintain access to courses you buy or unlock.
Cart & favourites (wishlist)	To remember items you add and sync them across your devices.
Video watch progress	To resume playback, mark lessons complete, and show your progress.
Transaction records	Order amount, currency, status, and payment reference IDs for purchases and receipts.

c. Device & technical information

Data	Why we collect it
Push notification token	To deliver notifications about your courses, offers, and updates (only if you enable notifications).
Device platform (Android/iOS)	To route notifications correctly and support the App.
Basic log & diagnostic data	Server logs (e.g., request identifiers, timestamps) used for security, debugging, and reliability.

We do not collect your precise location, contacts, SMS, call logs, or microphone/camera data beyond the photo you optionally choose for your avatar. We do not sell your personal data.

2. How We Use Your Information

Create, secure, and manage your account and log you in.
Provide access to courses you have purchased or been granted.
Process payments and deliver order confirmations and receipts.
Save your progress, cart, favourites, and preferences.
Send you service messages and, if enabled, push notifications about courses and offers.
Respond to your support requests.
Maintain security, prevent fraud and abuse, and improve the App’s performance.
Comply with legal, tax, and accounting obligations.

3. How We Share Information

We share personal data only with the service providers necessary to run the App, and only to the extent needed. These providers process data on our behalf under their own privacy and security terms:

Payment processors (e.g., Razorpay / Cashfree)	To securely process course purchases. Card and banking details are entered on the processor’s secure page and are not stored by us.
YouTube (Google LLC)	Some course lessons are embedded from YouTube; playback is subject to Google/YouTube’s privacy policy.
Cloudflare	Media storage and delivery of course thumbnails and video content.
Hosting & database providers (e.g., Render, Supabase/PostgreSQL)	To host our backend servers and store account and course data.
Expo push service	To deliver push notifications to your device.

We may also disclose information if required by law, court order, or a valid governmental request, or to protect the rights, safety, and property of our users or us. If the business is transferred, user data may be transferred as part of that transaction, subject to this Policy.

4. Data Security

All traffic between the App and our servers is encrypted in transit using HTTPS/TLS.
Passwords are stored only as salted bcrypt hashes and are never accessible in plain text.
Access to production data is restricted to authorised personnel.

No method of transmission or storage is 100% secure. While we take reasonable measures to protect your data, we cannot guarantee absolute security.

5. Data Retention

We keep your personal data for as long as your account is active or as needed to provide the App. Transaction and tax records may be retained longer where required by law. When data is no longer needed, we delete or anonymise it.

6. Your Rights & Choices

Subject to applicable law, you may:

Access the personal data we hold about you.
Correct inaccurate information (you can edit most profile details in the App).
Delete your account and associated personal data (see below).
Withdraw consent for notifications by disabling them in your device settings.

Account & Data Deletion

To request deletion of your account and the personal data associated with it, contact us from your registered email address with the subject line “Delete my account”. We will verify your identity and process the request within a reasonable period. Certain records (e.g., completed transactions) may be retained where required for legal, tax, or accounting purposes.

7. Children’s Privacy

The App is intended for a general audience and is not directed to children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal data from children under 13. If you believe a child has provided us personal data, contact us and we will delete it. Users under the age of 18 should use the App only with the involvement of a parent or legal guardian.

8. International Users

The App is operated from India. If you access it from outside India, your information may be processed and stored in India or in other countries where our service providers operate, which may have data-protection laws different from those in your country.

9. Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. Material changes will be reflected by updating the “Last updated” date above and, where appropriate, by notice within the App. Your continued use of the App after changes take effect constitutes acceptance of the updated Policy.
